Student Community Service

Those of you who are students in 6th grade and up will be aware that dedicated Community Service is part of your life at St. John's. This aspect of our school life is unique to us, and something that sets us apart from many school communities: each of us agrees, as part of our being here at St. John's, to dedicate a certain amount of time each school year to serving our community - something that may technically be a requirement, but which we do willingly, out of love, as we seek to grow into conscientious Christian people.

Minimum Service Hours:
  • 6th Grade: 10
  • 7th-8th Grade: 20
  • 9th-12th Grade: 30

Students who complete more than 75 (middle school) or 100 (high school) hours of  community service can qualify for a special award at the end of the school year.

Important: All service work you do needs to be reported to the school office by a special form so it can be recorded. You can get this form from the office, or you can download it from the link in the 'Attachments' section at the bottom of this page.
