Champagne Brunch!

Our annual Mother's Day Champagne Brunch is one of the highlights in the series of extra-curricular activities at St. John's Academy. This event is a bright and elegant morning and afternoon which honors our mothers and friends, featuring a superb menu created by the Parents Association. Not only is this one of the Academy's flagship annual fundraisers, it is also one of the year's most popular events. We do hope you will be able to join us - and don't forget to invite your mother, along with friends and family!

This year the Mother's Day falls on Thomas Sunday, a day on which many Orthodox visit the graves of their relatives. Therefore, our Mother's Day Brunch has been moved to the following Sunday, May 12th, 2013, and will take place from 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. in the Holy Virgin Cathedral Reception Hall.

Last year's brunch was a tremendous success - so much so that, this year, reservations are highly recommended, otherwise you may miss a place at the table! To make a reservation, please contact, Mrs. Macrina Jajeh, at 650-692-1970.

As part of their annual commitment to the school, each and every family at St. John's Academy makes a special effort to participate in hosting this event. Parents are asked to contact Mrs. Jajeh to receive their work assignment. This is an important chance for all of us in the St. John's community to strengthen our bonds and fellowship and love.

A free bottle of Champagne or wine comes with every reservation for a party of 6! And all moms receive a complimentary glass of Champagne.

A silent auction will take place during the brunch, with wonderful prizes donated by local business, friends of the school, and other benefactors. As ever, all funds raised go to support the life, work and mission of St. John's Academy.
