Today, a group of St. John's students rolled up their sleeves and pitched in to help the community. The school excused these boys from class to unload a moving van for the soon to arrive Kiriukhin family who are moving from upstate New York. Mr. Sergey Kiriukhin, his wife and five kids will arrived in San Francisco next week and Mr. Kiriukhin will be ordained to the priesthood here at Holy Virgin Cathedral. He will serve here for the next year before moving to his future parish in Oregon. Four of the Kiriukhin children will be enrolled at St. John's Academy.

This Sunday, our students will be helping at the "Taste of Russia Festival". Which is a major fundraising event for our home, "The Joy of All Who Sorrow" Holy Virgin Cathedral. Through out the year our students complete thousands of hours of community service, preparing them for a life serving the Church and society.
