St. John's students and former teachers get 'air time' in Russia.

The feast day of the “Old Cathedral” of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow” in San Francisco was celebrated on August 5, 2012. Divine services were led by His Grace Bishop Theodosius of Seattle, Vicar of the Western American Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. A video report was made of this feast and has aired in Russian on the TV-Soyuv broadcast network.

Featured prominently were three former teachers from St. John's Academy who are now members of the male quartet of Holy Trinity Seminary in Jordanville, NY. Mr. Nicholas Kotar, Mr. John Martin, and Mr. Ephriam Wilmarth all who are currently enrolled in the seminary program. Mr. Wilmarth was interviewed about the missionary activity of the Russian Church Abroad to the local American population. Both he and Mr. Martin are converts to the Orthodox Faith.

Also, shown were St. John students Isabella, Mary, Thomas, and Paul Jajeh as well as former music teachers Mrs. Rosenberg and Mrs. Bernard.
