Dear Parents,

St. John's is extremely pleased to announce that this year's Spell Check is projected to have raised $7,100.00. This far outstrips all prior years, and we are truly delighted at the success. The Board of St. John's Academy, as well as the teachers and administration, thank you and your children for all of your efforts in making this such a success. This is just the kind of fund-raising success that helps the school keep on track for its strong future!

We would like to highlight a few students and grades who really shone out in this event, going all out to make it a success. Our little 1st grader, Sasha K., alone received a remarkable $1,300.00 in pledges; and our two Jakimowicz brothers each received over $800 in pledges. This is wonderful work! Additionally, four grades broke the $1,000.00 pledge mark: with $1,900.00 in pledges, the third grade class takes the cake, followed by the fifth grade class with $1,606.00, the first grade class with $1,602.00 and the fourth grade class with $1,023.00 pledges.

Each child has received a personalized envelope which lists the total pledges they should collect, and includes the child's Spell Check spelling test results and the pledge forms which were submitted. This envelope should be used to collect the pledges from the donors. Please assist your child in collecting all of the pledges on the forms. Once all of the pledges have been collected, please seal them in the provided envelope and return it to the office by Monday, March 26th.

Again, thank you all for making this the most successful Spell Check to date.
