This weekend, St. John's Academy senior, Mr. Alexander Nowak, received the Boy Scouts of America Alpha Omega award. The award was officially bestowed upon him by Hieromonk Juvenal (Herrin), rector of the Our Lady of Kazan Russian Orthodox Church, following the Sunday Liturgy.

The Alpha-Omega is a Boy Scouts of America award sanctioned by the Eastern Orthodox Church. It is given to those who show a devotion to their Orthodox Faith by volunteerism in the Church and by learning the Law of God.

The school congratulates Alexander with his new honor.
