New Principal Chosen

It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I convey the wonderful news that our school's Board of Directors has chosen Mrs. Mary Najjarian to be the new Principal of St. John's Academy, beginning in the Fall 2013.

As you are well aware, as an enthusiastic scholar, writer, and doctoral candidate, not to mention as a dedicated English teacher, college counselor, and educator at St. John's Academy this year, Mrs. Najjarian comes well qualified to guide our school toward its second decade of service to Christ, His Church, and our community in the name of our beloved patron and heavenly protector, St. John of San Francisco.

I am very grateful to all of you for tolerating me as your Principal this year. I know that it hasn't been easy, but now that I am confident that the baton is being passed to an excellent candidate for the job, I can be free - gratefully! - to return to my true vocation as a full-time teacher in the Humanities.

So, congratulations to Mrs. Najjarian! May Jesus Christ, our Divine Master, give her the strength, wisdom, and compassion to guide our children, lead our teachers, and serve the educational needs of our Christian fellowship.

Sincerely,

Seraphim Winslow
