The morning of September 9th, the starosta of Holy Virgin Cathedral, Mr. Nicholas "Nick" Motoviloff, fell asleep in the Lord. Nick passed away at the age of 56 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Paraguay to Claudia and the late Vladimir Motoviloff, loving husband of Irene, beloved father of Susan, Stacy, Walter and Nicholas, dear brother of Nadine (Nikita) and Tanya (Oleg), son-in-law of Svetoslav and Ksenia Danich, brother-in-law of Michael Danich and Katherine Danich, Nicholas is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Nick was an active member of the Russian community and church starosta (warden) at the Holy Virgin Russian Cathedral. He
was known for by many for inconspicuous acts of kindness and helping countless people in need. He was a hands-on-man who wasn't afraid to roll up his sleeves and work on whatever needed to get done.

Friends and family are invited to attend the panikhida Monday (tonight), 8:00PM and funeral on Tue. Sept. 11th at 10:00AM, both at Holy Virgin Russian Orthodox Cathedral, 6210 Geary Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Virgin Cathedral for the building of the new baptismal or the Russian River Church renovation project.

Our prayers are with his family. He will be greatly missed. Memory Eternal!
