On February 26 and 27, 2009, two performances were given to the entire school. The first of these was the grades K-5 presentation of the musical version of The Little Prince, with 5th graders Anthony Maximov in the title role and Anthony Glek as the king, and other 4th and 5th graders playing most of the remaining lead characters. Directed by Music teacher Mrs. Bozhich, the performance was notable in involving nearly the entire Elementary School in a joyously successful production.

The next day, Feb. 27, the 6th grade Shakespeare class performed “Pyramus and Thisbe,” the “play-within-the-play” from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Eugene Lytnev played Pyramus and Max Zherebin took the part of Thisbe in this comical parody of the Romeo and Juliet story. The talented 6th graders made Shakespeare come alive for the appreciative St. John’s audience.
