The year ahead promises to be enriching and filled with a love for learning, excitement about serving the community, and eagerness for devotion to the Orthodox Church.

The school day begins at 8.00 a.m. (returning families, please note
that this is ten minutes earlier than last year!). Please try to
arrive at 7:45 a.m. in order to have time to check in padlocks, assign
lockers, verify emergency kits and vaccination records, purchase PE
uniforms, and sign up for the new afterschool program for those who
are interested in "prodlyonka".

The first day of school (Tuesday) commences with our annual
Start-of-School Moleben, to be served at the start of the school day
(8.10 a.m.), and we invite parents and family members to stay for this
short service, joining your children in praying for the beginning of
their studies.

A required all-parents-and-all-teachers meeting will take place on
Wednesday, 5th September at 7.00 p.m. This meeting will introduce
parents to your children's teachers, and cover a great deal of
essential information about school life at St John's this year -- many
details of which are new or different from previous years, so it is
essential that all families be in attendance.

Please visit the school's official calendar on our web site, where you
will find details on key dates and events for the opening weeks of the
new school year, as well as the whole year ahead -- including our
monthly parent evenings, which this year will be an essential part of
our school's operation.

We are all very much looking forward to welcoming our students,
families and parents back to St. John's!
